Beverly J. Archibald is a CMOS accredited consulting meteorologist with extensive expertise in
operational weather forecasting. From 1986 through 1998 she was employed with
Environment Canada as a senior operational meteorologist/shift supervisor. In
1999 she established her own consulting firm.
A
large portion of Ms. Archibald’s work is dedicated to the provision of forest
fire weather services to government agencies including the Government of the
NWT, Government of Alberta, British Columbia Ministry of Forests, and Parks
Canada. Services to these agencies include fire-weather forecasts, training,
post-season analyses, research, and general consultation. In addition, Beverly has acted
as an expert meteorological consultant in numerous litigations involving
weather issues and, in particular, forest fires. Through her extensive
involvement in operational forest fire meteorology and training across Canada,
Ms. Archibald has become recognized as one of Canada’s leading experts in
this field. In addition Ms. Archibald has become well known for her forecast
expertise over northern Canada,
specifically, the Northwest
Territories and Mackenzie Valley
region.

Archibald and her firm provide a wide range of meteorological services

and long-range forecasts.

analysis; expert consultation for litigation.
